New Year, New Trading Resolutions!

Hello Everybody!!

It's the 2nd week of 2010 (so fast!) and I wish everyone a roaring new year ahead!!

The 1st session of our Trading Club has started this afternoon and the first of our many (fun) activities was to set our trading resolutions for the year.

Have you set your quarterly trading targets yet? If not, it's time to do so!

This is what one of them has set:

Master Core-3 and intraday trading. Clock my first 30 trades and then aim get a quarterly return of 15% on my overall portfolio.

Wow, she's very detailed, isn't she? She actually detailed out what "mastering her trading" means.

If we dissect her goal...that makes 5% a month and 2.5% every 2 weeks. Now, doesn't it seem so very achievable?

There is no resolution too insignificant or too wild.

I still remember in my 1st year of trading after completing "the course", I wrote "To sit my butt down for an hour a weekend for my core trade setups." And today? It's one of my habits like brushing teeth every night before I sleep.

But there is a key to setting great resolutions - Be Precise. Being precise makes your goal measurable, and you know how near you are to it and what can be done to make it nearer.

Just like running a marathon. Your mind constantly seeks the remaining distance to your destination and it never ceases to do so, even till the last 500m.

Why? Simply because that's the source of fuel for our mind! It keeps you motivated till the very last lap.

So c'mon, post your new year trading resolution here! And every quarter, we will do a stop check to see our progress!
